Reserve and Collect at Argos
Shopping online at Argos is an easy way to check prices and find the exact item you’re looking for. Argos.co.uk has over 15,000 products that are available through their reserve and collect service, making it easy to set aside the products you need for later pick up. There are several ways to use the reserve and collect service at Argos.
If you’re already shopping online at Argos, the simplest way to use their reserve service is to click the “Buy or Reserve” link on a product’s description page. This will add the product to your trolley.
Once the product has been reserved, you can continue shopping and adding products to your order. When you have everything you need, click on the “My Trolley” link on the top right-hand side of the page. This will show you a list of all the items you’ve chosen to purchase.
Near the bottom of the My Trolley page, you’ll see a link that says “Reserve for Store Pick-Up.” Click on this link. You will be asked to enter your postal code or store name so that the system can check to see if your items are in stock at your local store. If your local store doesn’t have an item, the system will check the next 10 closest stores, with an option to check other areas if the 10 closest stores don’t have what you need. If an item is completely out of stock, it can usually be ordered and should be available for you to pick up within three working days.
Once you’ve chosen the store to get your items from, you’ll be asked to enter your email address. Click on “Place Reservation.” You’ll be given a reservation number to take with you to the store. You can also enter your cell phone number to get a confirmation text for your reservation.
When your order is placed, you can pick it up immediately or at any time until the end of the following working day.
At the store, go to the quick pay kiosk or to a till. You’ll pay for and collect your products after you present your reservation number.
If you prefer, you can phone in your reserve order to 0845 640 1010. Before you call, make sure you have your product’s catalogue number. You’ll also need your store number, which you can find on the back of your paper catalogue (it’s a three or four digit number). You can also find your store number using the online store finder at the Argos website.
When you call, you’ll be walked through some easy steps to place your reserve order. Once your order is placed, you can go to the store and collect it with your reservation number.
Reserving by text is also available. Send a text to 61201 with the catalogue number followed by your postal code and store number (from the back of your store catalogue or the Argos website online store finder). If you don’t have your store’s number, you can enter the store town name. Be sure to separate each set of numbers or words with a space.
Argos now has an iPhone app that can be downloaded from the Argos.co.uk website or the iTunes store. You can use the app to place reserve orders and find other information about what’s going on at the store.
Whatever method you use, the reserve and collect service at Argos can make your shopping experience simple and speedy.
